I Need A Map

Alan Voss08 Alumni/Information Systems

I need directions

I need a sign

I need a map,

To find my way

To a destination far, far away

A place I’ve never been to before

Somewhere I know won’t be a bore

But how do I get there?

With my indecisions,

My condescensions,

My heart about to tear?

I don’t know where to go!

I’m such a fool

I don’t know, I just don’t know!

I’m not playin’ it cool

I need directions!

I need a sign!

I need a map!

It feels like I’m really failing at life

I’ll be stuck in this dead-end job,

Forever, with it being just another strife

I feel like my head is under a gun by the mob

I can’t bring myself to work more at this place,

I’m so unmotivated

The job hunt is becoming belated,

No one else wants to hire this recent graduate ace

I need directions…

I need a sign…

I need a map…

I want to get off this highway

I want to do things my way

I don’t want to drive anymore

I want to start my own war

They say So?

I shrug and say You Don’t Know.

They say Man Up.

I smile politely and just say Yup.

They just don’t understand

How much my road sucks

I need directions! Anyone?

I need a sign! Anyone at all?I need a map!

Please!?

I need a map.

I need a map.

I need directions.
