In Response to Evan Gillick:

I imagine at the pace he is going, Evan Gillick will be receiving a proverbially Biblical amount of angry letters from butthurt Christians. But as an Atheist, I find the lack of tact and intelligence in Evan's articles to be equally offensive. Shitting on Christianity is fun when I'm in an Atheist circle jerk with my irreligious friends, but if you're trying to make an actual appeal for people to use reason and question their faith, than you should do the same, Evan. I think that most people can agree that Christianity has retarded the collective progress of humanity to some extent, but to claim that the Bible is responsible for the outbreak of AIDS in Africa is downright moronic, if not dangerous. You blast Christianity for persecuting homosexuals and promoting misogyny, but tolerance is a two way street. You're going to have to accept that most of this country believes in an invisible sky magician, and that their right to practice their religion is guaranteed in the Constitution. And seriously, evoking Nazis? What kind of obnoxious, base rhetorical tactic is that? Why don't you just say that Christians were responsible for 9/11?
I can only hope that these last two articles were some sort of elaborate troll to incite outrage, or perhaps a desperate cry for attention. But if that's not the case, I have some advice. Until you learn how to appeal to people's intelligence and not just throw shallow condemnations around like a chimp flinging shit, I suggest you kindly shut the fuck up.
